Sex 'n'n Death
As I go through the task of making my way over 4000 photos ( a lot of redundancy and sadly enough missing /presumed deleted Rome) one thing becomes clear- that so much of the collateral that is humanity surrounds the twin orbiting concepts of Sex and Death.
We are constantly either seeking one or avoiding the other. And so much of human creative endeavor seems motivated not so much by the higher functions such as faith or love but by the simple expedient of getting the most of one before the inevitable congress with the other.
Some would see my engagement with some of the places I traveled to be a little strange- The River Kwai and a Berlin Concentration Camp/ A Thai Brothel and the sex district of Amsterdam/ The Dungeon Museums and the Erotic Museums. Certainly they found themselves at home among the Papa La chaise cemetery or the D'Oysee Museum in Paris, Cathedrals and Mosques and Temples and Synagogues.
