Always stop at Redlights

So its quite a long way from Berlin to Amsterdam tho' I still managed some sleep.

Again we were put up at a lovely hotel some distance from the centre. But this is where our tour leader Kerry and Driver Coco came up trumps making it all so easy. Kerry gave us a rundown on the area which like most of her commentaries was short and pithy and invited more questions than it answered but still set us up for a wonderful wander. Coco contributes with 'driver' humour and was always there, sober, to pick us up (He was much more fun on the nights he had off).

First up then was the all important red light district which the dutch would probably prefer Amsterdam was not famous for. Some of us, as an option, went to a sex show, which was terribly interesting I don't think. but the area itself is fascinating.

The next day we went to Anne Franks house and then I peeled off to see the Theatre Museum which was very well done.

Then I gave in to my base desires and went all touristy- visiting Madame Tussuad's and then the Amsterdam Dungeon. Had heaps of fun.

Our final supper together was at an Indonesian restaurant and the next day we travelling the long road back to Paris and the Eurostar- a memory to0o painful for this missive.
